The Catch Me Wise Story...
...started not long ago, in a room, with a conversation about how a certain photographer (that's me), could gain photographic experience and grow creatively. Like many other conversations between my husband and I, the topic of discussion twisted, turned, rolled, and finally landed on trying to come up with something that could be used by others for learning, comfort, and understanding. We wanted to create something that offered a sample of as many different types of people as possible, and offer something for everyone. We acknowledge that wisdom has no age, race, color, religion, or income level; that everyone has learned something that others could benefit from hearing. After some thought we stumbled upon the idea of creating a book that highlights the viewpoints, differences, similarities, and wisdom of people of all ages. And so...Catch Me Wise was born with the hopes that the finished product will provide a bright spot in the lives of many. Photographically, I will be challenged to capture the essence of each individual; I hope to offer photographs that will show "who" each individual is at that time of their lives. The quotes will share the wisdom, the photographs will tell the story.
Of course, not everyone will want their picture in a book, and not everyone will be willing to share their wisdom with the world (or at least the United States). That is why this site was created - to anonymously collect your words of wisdom and allow you to choose what level of participation you are comfortable with. Quotes will be posted on a page in this site by age shortly after they are submitted.
So...dig deep down and share your wisdom! Ask your kids, tell your friends, ask your parents and grandparents. Let's work together to create something that can make people smile when they are down, think outside of the box when they need inspiration, understand the unity we all share, and increase their own wisdom!
Wisdom can be found in amazing places; never miss a chance to learn because of the outward appearance of an individual. If we take the time and open our minds and hearts, we will learn that we are all the same; we all want to feel joy and happiness, we all experience suffering and sadness, and we all find comfort in unity.
